August 20th to 22nd, 2020

Pre-tour 2 nights in London. This tour is self-guided. Each guest will pay for the hotel rooms based on their choice of room. No meals or tours are included we are only giving suggestions on where to eat and what to do.

Day 1, August 20th 

Arrive at Heathrow international airport. Transfer by train in King's Cross Station. Check-into your hotel just a 5-minute walk away. The rest of the day is at your leisure. King's Cross Station area is the best place to stay to see London. Stop at the information center and plan your days, see wants new, Learn about King's Cross - past, present and future on the free guided tour. Within a short walk, there are many sites to see.


Day 2, August 21st The Must-See Sights

The hop-on-hop-off bus is what we recommend for a one day of must-see sites. There are many routes to pick from included free walking tours and even the riverboat cruise included in the one fare of $46! If you have been to London before try one of the other top tours of 2020.


Day 3, August 22nd

Meet up with the rest of the group in King's Cross station for our transfer to York.



Day 1 Saturday, August 22 — London and York

Arrive in London to meet with the group at King's Cross station. We will leave together by fast train to York. Check -into our hotel. Relax or go and explore, York is a great town with lots to see all within walking distance of our hotel. Meet the group for dinner with Gwen at a Midvale drinking hall “Delirium Tremens” or The Trembling Madness.It offers the best pub grub in town plus over 900 beers.

Day 2 Sunday, August 23  — York and Liverpool

Free day in York or optional tour to come to Liverpool and get to walk in the footsteps of the Beatles. Price includes train ticket to and from York, 3-hour walking tour of the Beatles in Liverpool and a box lunch. Vegan and vegetarian options available. $99.- per person full day tour of 9.5 hours. The group will meet in York for a traditional Twilight Tea.

Day 3 Monday, August 24  —Yorkshire Steam Railway and Alnwick Castle Edinburgh

Today we are leaving York for Edinburgh. Along the way we are stopping to take a ride on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway from Pickering to Goathland station (Hogsmeade Station in the Harry Potter movies) next we will proceed to Whitby, explore the shops and market of the seaside town. Our next stop is to Alnwick Castle. Where they filmed Downton Abbey, Harry Potter and many more. Free time to explore the gardens and the castle. Then lastly we will check-in to our hotel in Edinburgh. Dinner together downtown.

Day 4 Tuesday, August 25,  — Free day in Edinburgh

Free day in Edinburgh, with so many things to do. The fringe festival is taking place all week (Showtimes and events will be available to everyone as soon as released for 2020) take in a show or explore the shops and restaurants around downtown. Optional tour to Military Tattoo (see link below) if interested should be booked as soon as possible, space is limited.

Day 5 Wednesday, August 26  —Highlands Loch Ness

Leaving Edinburgh at 8.00 am, we travel past the stunning views of the Forth Bridge and enter the Highlands through Perthshire, a land of forests, rivers and mountains. We visit the quaint village of Dunkeld with its historic cathedral sitting on the banks of the River Tay. It’s then further north into the Highlands before we enter the Great Glen. At Fort Augustus, there is time to explore the shores of Loch Ness and a chance to spot Nessie. The journey continues to the famous Isle of Skye but first, we take in spectacular Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most famous icons. Our home for the night is the Isle of Skye, the ‘winged isle’..

Day 6 Thursday, August 27, 2020  —Highlands the Isle of Skye

We spend the day exploring the dramatic Isle of Skye with its amazing scenery, myths and legends. Hear tales of Bonnie Prince Charlie’s escape from the mainland against the backdrop of the jagged Cuillin Mountains. Highlights include the mysterious rock formation of the Old Man of Storr, Kilt Rock with its cascading waterfall and Dunvegan's impressive castle*.

Day 7 Friday, August 28, 2020  —Highlands 

We have the chance to explore the castle and gardens of Clan Donald Skye before taking the ferry to the west coast fishing village of Mallaig. Here you can board the Jacobite Steam Train to Fort William, one of the most spectacular railway journeys in the world. The train crosses the Glenfinnan Viaduct where a monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie’s campaign now stands. We head south through the dramatic scenery of Glencoe, wild Rannoch Moor then the heart of Rob Roy country before arriving back in Edinburgh at approximately 8.30pm.

Day 8 Saturday, August 29, 2020  — Transfer to next destination
